Assalāmu ʿalaykum, brothers and sisters.
My name is Khalid. Like you, I am a servant of Allah, the One.

My journey with Islam began only a year ago, when I took my Shahādah at a local masjid in East London.

In that moment, so many emotions were racing through me. I had taken my first step toward my Lord — yet I was nervous.

Nervous that I had rushed my decision.
Nervous that I might fall out of favour with my family or those around me.
Nervous that I would not be a “good Muslim.”

But, as with any leap of faith, time brought clarity.
I began to read the Qur’an consistently.
I began to pray.
I began learning Arabic.
I began studying Islam.

Yet, even with all of this… something still felt missing.

Outwardly, I was a Muslim.
But inwardly — where was my personal connection with Allah?

That question led me inward: balancing Fiqh with Taṣawwuf and ʿAqīdah.

These short reflections are my way of connecting with Allah — never to replace Ṣalāh, but to strengthen it.

You can read my reflections below. Two new will be posted every week.
I ask for nothing but your duʿās.

JazakumAllāhu khayran.

Beyond noise lies remembrance — remembrance is where truth is found.
